ESL Options (English as a Second Language)
At unichurch we are aware that if you are an International Student English may not be your first, second or even third language.

We think it is really important to give you every opportunity to understand the Bible when it is read and spoken and to be able to read and understand it yourself.

Some ways we can help you understand are:

ESL Bible Studies
These are a great way to look at the Bible in more detail, ask questions and really understand it's message. These groups meet weekly, if you are interested in joining an International Bible Study group please contact Chris Adams, cadams@stjudes.org.au

ESL Extra
At unichurch, ask about ESL Extra. It provides useful information for understanding what is happening during the Sunday night service.

Cross Cultures

Cross Cultures is a group that meets at St Jude’s
especially for international students.  It is led by a mix of international and Australian Christians.

We would love to welcome you if you are curious about who Jesus is, what it means to be a Christian, or if you are already a follower of Jesus.

Cross Cultures has a very simple saying summing up our aims:

Make Friends, Meet Jesus.

We do this by:

  • Eating yummy food together
  • Chatting and practicing English
  • Reading the Bible together to learn what it says about God's love for all people in Jesus
  • Fun activities and cultural experiences
  • Camps and day trips

Cross Cultures meets on Thursday evenings from 5pm at St Jude’s Carlton (entry via Keppel St or Lygon St).

For more information, contact Chris Adams (cadams@stjudes.org.au) or visit the Cross Cultures website at
